SIPA FOR CARLSBERG BREWERIES

The Italian company has supplied the entire blowing and filling line for the factory in Saltum, Denmark

Carlsberg is well established in the drinks sector and is the world's fifth leading beer producer, but it is widening its horizons and paying ever-greater attention to other areas, such as CSDs and water. With this in mind and with the aim of optimising some of its production plants, Carlsberg contacted SIPA to take advantage of the company's 20 years' experience in the sector. The Italian company has supplied the entire blowing, bottling and palletising line for the plant in Saltum. For this plant, where Carlsberg bottles Kildevaeld water, SIPA supplied the complete Synchro type blowing-filling-capping production line, which is able to guarantee the complete process even in a small production area. This system also avoids the need to rinse the bottles before filling by means of a preform cleaning system based on sterile air and UV treatment. SIPA supplied an SFR 8 for the Saltum plant, which is able to produce 14,400 bottles/hour. This machine has been fitted with the moulds produced by SIPA. The collaboration between SIPA and Carlsberg is a well-established relationship. As well as the Saltum plant, SIPA has also supplied machinery and equipment for the Swedish plants in Falkenberg (SFR 12) and Ramlosa (complete line based on SFR 8). It has also developed numerous packaging projects and has followed the prototyping phases.
