SAPANAN GENERAL FOOD COMPANY: ALOE VERA AND BEAUTY DRINKS
Thai’s beverage company trusted in SIPA for the development of the new packaging for Sappè, Beauty Drink an innovative functional beverage for domestic and international market.
Sapanan General Food Company, Ltd is an innovative company and one of the leading exporters for the beverage in Thailand. Core policy at Sapanan is to create distinctive products and new product segment in order to keep ahead of tough competition in the current beverage market.They provide high quality health drinks: Co-Q10. Fiber, Collagen, Chlorophyll, whitening for the worldwide population. Not only the product has high quality but also the ability to manage the taste fitting to consumer preference in every age and nationality that make the product spread out through Europe, America, Asia, Middle East, Africa, Oceania and more than 40 countries around the world. The band names owned by Sepanan are: Sappè, Sappè Beauty Drink, Aloe Vera, Juice me, St Anna, Mogu Mogu.
The co-operation with SIPA started few years ago with the development of Sappè Beauty Drink for which SIPA provided attractive design for 0.5 l pyramidal bottles that was soon adopted for the launch of the product in the market. A winning mix of fast reaction, innovative design and flexibility of SIPA driven to the supply of the first machine, a linear blowmolder SFL 6/4 to Precision Plastics, a Sapanan’s partner who produce containers for the beverage company. After short time other two SFL 6/4 machines was added to accomplish with the larger market demand of Sapanan’s product.
Thanks to the proximity with Sipa’s sales and production facility, SMH (SIPA Machinery Hangzhou) located in China, other new project for different containers shape are ongoing. The customer highly appreciate the fast reaction of SMH team that is actually providing sketches, bottle rendering, trial molds and bottle mock-ups for testing.
The first of the new projects is based on the conversion of an existing container for warm filling (72°C) to an hot fill container keeping the exiting panel design which is available in the market now. The bottle developed by SIPA will have highest performances and will be able to be filled at 92°C. The customer is also asking to investigate the possibility to use nitrogen dosing and our Chinese R&D department is working in this direction also. The requirement for hot fill bottles is driven by the customer who want to distribute this beverage to both domestic and overseas (Europe and some other countries) without putting preservative in.
Another innovative bottle design will be soon added to Sapanan product family and SIPA is actually providing further trial molds for this new hot fill container that will outstand the filling at 92°C.
The customer is currently manufacturing in four plants with a total production capacity of 180.000 tons per year. Due to the rapid increase in demand they co-operate with other partner in addiction to their own production facility. They’re planning to increase the capacity by another 50% in 2010. By this year Sapanan believe also to be able to set-up production in Europe after the big success of their products in East Europe repeating it in West Europe.
